Hey, my name is Jasmine Bawa

I’m a sophomore at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, currently based in the Chicagoland area. I specialize in both sports and portrait photography, with a strong passion for capturing authentic moments that tell a story. I’m always eager to experiment with new styles and creative approaches to expand my skill set and vision.

My primary goal as a photographer is to create images that go beyond just looking good - they should convey emotion, energy, and narrative. Whether it’s the intensity of a game-changing play or the quiet confidence in a portrait, I aim to deliver photos that speak for themselves.

In 2022, I launched my photography business, Jasmine’s Photo Lab, which has been a journey of growth and discovery. Through every shoot, I’ve learned not only how to improve technically, but how to see and feel the moments that matter most.

I’m also a staff photographer for The Daily Illini, the independent student newspaper at UIUC, where I’ve had the opportunity to cover a wide range of campus and athletic events.
